So last week was my spring break, and i just realized i never blogged about it! which is insane, because it was probably one the best/most relaxing trip. So since im graduating this year, this was my last spring break..and my first since i never really took a trip for it before. Since cabo and partying with the same crowd of people that i go to school with isnt really what i was looking for in a spring break, me and my friend decided to go to hawaii! - oahu to be exact. I haven’t been to hawaii since i was like 4, except for a 12 hour layover i had there a couple years ago. I wanted this break to be super relaxing, carefree and just fun - while getting a great tan, and thats exactly what it was! my friend that i went with is literally the most easy going, laidback and easy to be around person…it takes no effort or work to be around her which i love!

so we had 4 whole days there and we really made the best of each day i think! the first day we arrived around 11 and got to the hotel around noon, and wasted no time. Even though we werent able to check in until 3, we had them hold our bags and we changed into our swimsuits, and went straight to the pool. Having lunch/pina coladas by the pool was the perfect way to start out vacay! and this pool was incredible- Sheraton waikiki built a new pool that basically looks like it goes straight into the ocean- its so pretty. after we checked in we just walked 10 steps to the beach and swam and laid out there the rest of the day. The second day we rented a car- and drove to Kailua beach since we heard thats a great spot from our cab driver, then to turtle bay which was beautiful, then to bonzai/pipeline beach to see surfers ride some huuuggeee waves! then we ran over to Hailewa and had some famous shaved ice and shopped at awesome bikini shops. We got there just a little before everything was closing so we had to kind of hurry, but i did manage to spend over a 100 dollars on swimsuits…woops

our third day we did A LITTLE snorkeling at hanauma bay. ive never snorkeled before, so getting used to the breathing was a little difficult…lol. Hanauma was also really pretty, and we saw some fish while snorkeling which was cool. I think if we went further out into the ocean we would have seen more. after a day at hanauma we went to have some sushi- i mean you are in hawaii, you have to have fish/sushi right?? and even though im not a fish eater, their seared tuna roll was to die for! not fishy at all- i can definitely start eating fish if i lived in hawaii…haha. after that we basically sprinted our way over to the hotel for some happy hour and had maitais by the pool watching the sunset. that was definitely a “maaann this IS THE life” moment.. haha

thursday was our last full day on the island and since we enjoyed the freedom of having a car, we rented one again. this time we went to sandy beach- which is the beach with the most broken necks.. haha. i think this beach had the most locals..they were all middle school kids that were talking about getting their permits earlier that day! haha. It was a thursday, i wonder what they were doing at the beach? oh well. after that we went to my favorite beach/place EVER- waimanalo. this place was soo so cute, it was like a little village- you can literally picture people walking around barefoot there. And the beach we went to was BEAUTIFUL- so blue- supposedly they have the most weddings there because its the bluest ocean. It was also really empty compared to some of the other beaches. and on the sand were coconuts!!! i know its probably like a given that there are coconuts laying around in hawaii- but it was fun/cool to see them actually just laying around in the sand..lol I decided that one day i am going to buy a house here because i would just lovveee to get away from time to time and live in a little house in a village like this! i def recommend people to go here - very different from the hustle bustle that is waikiki.

anyway, that was the short version of my trip, dont want to bore you with more. but lets just say, coming home to the rain and cloudy weather in LA is not fun. I cant even show off my tan with a tank and shorts!!! horrible. hopefully it gets sunny before my tan fades.. lol

and a few photos…enjoy!
