Sister Trip :)

So me and my sister took our first sister trip down to sd this week! we had a spa day at Estancia in La Jolla which was awesome! we both had the hot stone massage, and it was heavenly :) if you are looking for a nice, relaxing day this is the place to go!

this is the pool where we layed out/ate lunch in the sun! one negative: my sister ordered guac and chips for lunch, and they said they didnt have tortilla chips so they brought sunchips with her guac…interesting. lol but we still LOVE estancia! its our go to place for a spa get away!

Another great place to go in sd! a sushi restaurant called NOBU. its at the hardrock hotel in the gaslamp district in downtown! we were going to have a crazy St. Patrick-y night on the town, but we decided to go for a low-key night instead. This place was perfect for it! I had this Pina Martini which tasted like..pineapple juice, it was so yummy! and my sister being her hardcore self had a “devil Killer” sake. i have to say, im not a straight sake drinker.. lol. We both got a roll each and had their Beef Tataki salad which was AMAZING. yummy raw meat…haha (fact #1 about me: I LOVE RAW MEAT) TEE HEE. so yeah, if you are looking for a cool environment with yummy sushi and fruity drinks, go to nobu :)

both days consisted of us shopping our butts off at fashion valley! the most interesting purchase of the trip was the Chanel Coco Rouge lipstick in the color Mademoiselle. We’ve been seeing ads for this lipstick in all the magazines, and we wanted to go check it out. So we went to Bloomingdales in Fashion Valley and this nice lady was helping us out, telling us this Mademoiselle color is the way to go if you are going to buy this lipstick. “it looks great on everyone! and it looks different on each person, we all have one” she said. So we were like great, we will take two. But they only had 3 left, and her stupid manager tells us that she is saving 2 of them for her costumers. So the manager tells us she can only sell us one, because she “feels morally wrong for selling both to us, because she promised her costumer” (this costumer didnt even answer her phone when she called to ask if she still wanted it, nor has she even paid for this lipstick yet, she just “promised” her she will save her one). Slightly irritated at this point, i told my sister well we can find it somewhere else, and that i didnt want to buy it from them if they werent going to sell us both. THEN, the manager hears me and says that no one else has it, and proceeded to call all the department stores in the mall in front of me to show me that no one else has this popular color. So me being, well me, i turned to her and said we didnt want it cause we can find it somewhere else, walked away, and then made my sister call costumer service to complain about her. Is it just me or is it more “morally wrong” to not sell a product to two people standing right in front of you?? weird. anyways, we found two lipsticks in that color in South Coast Plaza, which was on our way home, so we went to go get it :). I saw WE WIN. boo to you stupid Fashion Valley Bloomingdales manager.

but it was definitely worth the fuss, this lipstick is amazziinnggggg! it makes my not so pink and cute lips nice and rosy and bright for spring! yAY

ok so that was my trip to sd in a nutshell. First sister trip was definitely a success! cant wait for the next! in the meantime.. school and hw..wahhh i thought i would never have to go back!
