O’Neal will be the eighth player in Lakers franchise history to have his jersey retired, joining Wilt Chamberlain (No. 13), Elgin Baylor (No. 22), Gail Goodrich (No. 25), Magic Johnson (No. 32), Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (No. 33), James Worthy (No. 42) and Jerry West (No. 44).

In the eight seasons he spent in Los Angeles from 1996-2004, the Lakers made the Finals four times, winning three championships, and O’Neal led the league in scoring while being named regular season MVP in 1999-00.

2012: New Year's Resolutions

I usually dont like new years resolutions because i always fail at keeping them up, but I thought i would write a list this year just to remind myself of some things i can do to better myself.

1. Hit/maintain my goal weight, which is the weight that is on my drivers license….
2. Get a tattoo- i want one on the inside my wrist
3. Have more self esteem/confidence.
4. Practice piano
5. Start eating fish
6. Be able to order food at a restaurant without changing something or taking something out of the dish. So overall be less picky when it comes to food.
7. Read more- at least one book a month
8. Go to New York. Hopefully for a job so I can go for free.. Haha
9. Start taking dance classes again
10. Be smarter about spending money- be able to choose to pay a little more on my student loans over buying a new purse or shoes
11. Make the most out of every opportunity- ex: Never go into an audition without reading/practicing the lines out loud with someone-whether it be my sister, friend, manager or acting coach. It makes such a big difference its stupid that i still sometimes go in NOT doing that and just memorize lines in my head instead.
12. Continue to always appreciate and ENJOY every job that I get to do. And never forget to be PROFESSIONAL. As an actor all work is a blessing no matter how hard/tiring it is. Working on different sets this year made me realize how much of a jerk/diva people can be on set, and it makes them look really stupid.
13. Be more approachable - Although I am unaware of this, I have been told I am intimidating and unapproachable.
14. Be less guarded/be more honest to my feelings. I don’t always have to be the “cool” or “tough” one.
15. I tend to get stressed/overwhelmed easily- I’d like to learn how to just take a step back, breathe, and take things one step at a time.
